Answers:

What does redseven stand for?

It stands for responsible, empowered and dedicated global citizens across the seven continents.

What is redseven’s mission?

Engaging young Canadians to support charitable organizations that further youth education globally

What is redseven’s vision?

A world where every child is educated to become a Responsible, Empowered and Dedicated global citizen

Why join redseven?

It is our primary purpose to create a community of young Canadians who support youth education because every child, on all seven continents, deserves an opportunity to fulfill their potential.

Think back to the defining moments of your life. How did you get where you are today? Was it an inspirational professor, teacher, or coach? A powerful learning experience you had at school? Something you read in a book? Even by virtue of reading this, you are more fortunate than so many children who do not have access to education and may never learn to read.

By joining the redseven community, you will help provide children with similar opportunities provided to you. So they too, can experience the care and dedication of a teacher, learn to read a book and be part of a community where education is present and valued. We can’t do it alone. Please join us in our quest to empower youth through education.

Why donate to redseven?

Individual donations to the foundation contribute to a redseven specific campaign. We hope that by earmarking donations from the redseven community, the power of many will have an even more valuable impact on our partner charity and its efforts. Together, we can make this happen.

Our current partnership is with Free the Children to raise $12,000 to build a school in Lai Gow, India.  Right now, donations to Free the Children can be earmarked from the redseven community if made by clicking here.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation to redseven?

Yes. All donors will receive a tax receipt from our registered charity partner.

Do 100% of donations go directly to your selected charity?

Yes, 100% of donations are invested in projects run by our charity partners. Please donate by clicking here.

Are the people behind redseven paid?

Nope! The team is comprised of enthusiastic philanthropists who volunteer their time without pay.

How can I see the results of my contribution?

We believe that being able to see and measure a donors impact is crucial to donor satisfaction. Therefore, we are fully transparent in all of our operations. We also post updates twice a year on our website to show the progress of the campaign you supported.

These reports include:
• Photos from the campaign you supported
• An update on the status of the campaign you supported
• Measurable statistics to demonstrate the impact of your donation
• Stories about the direct beneficiaries of your donation

Who supports redseven?

The majority of redseven donors are youth (ages 20-35) from our local communities. redseven was designed to connect youth to the cause of global education and give them an opportunity to make a measurable impact regardless of their available resources. redseven is also generously supported by corporations who place a great emphasis on the need to support global education.

What charities does redseven partner with?

redseven partners with registered Canadian charities that run programs that further youth education globally. We are constantly looking for new charity partners to support in our mission to achieve global education. If you’d like to suggest a charity you think we should support please send us an email at info@redseven.ca .

Why was Free the Children your chosen charity for your first campaign?

We believe in supporting charities that foster educational opportunities for youth in need. Free the Children is a Toronto based organization that supports sustainable change. Free the Children’s adopt a village model is based on long-term sustainability. Adopt a village develops sustainable communities by assisting with water sanitation, health, alternative income and education. This comprehensive approach empowers a community to pull themselves out of the cycle of poverty and lead better lives.

Why is redseven concentrating its efforts on education?

We believe education:

  • Will create a foundation for a more peaceful and progressive world
  • Fosters community development in a sustainable way
  • Creates populations that are more likely to prevent disease and manage the spread of illness
  • Provides increased opportunities in life: basic arithmetic, reading and writing skills help people develop and sustain communities, healthcare, businesses, etc.

The redseven team’s educational experiences have inspired us to ensure education is a right, not just a privilege. We want to share with the world what we have been so fortunate to receive: education.
